If it's a personal phone call, maybe they don't want to talk right then & if it's a professional phone call, I would worry about sounding stupid on the phone or something. It was a big deal for me for a while - when I was about your age, but luckily I was in a profession that required me to make a lot of phone calls & I worked thru it. I'm VERY glad to hear that you got a job. And, despite the fact that it's not my life, I'm glad it's only part time. I just think a mother of a small child working a full time job is too much.
